KnowhowAngels.com is owned and operated by Docunexus, Inc. (collectively referred to as We or Us or Our). By the Knowhow Angels Platform we mean KnowhowAngels.com, Knowhow Wire (our online magazine), and the backend (including databases) involved in creating and maintaining all facets of KnowhowAngels.com and Knowhow Wire.

We recognize that your privacy is very important, and we take it seriously. This Privacy Policy (“Privacy Policy”) describes our policies and procedures on the collection, use, disclosure, and sharing of your personal information when you use the Knowhow Angels Platform. This Privacy Policy applies to all services provided by the Knowhow Angels Platform, regardless of the platform or device used; it describes all personal information collected, used, transmitted, disclosed, stored, or maintained by Us, including both electronic and paper records.

  1. Information We collect and use
    In the course of operating the Knowhow Angels Platform, We collect various type of information regarding those who interact with the Knowhow Angels Platform (called Interactors), some of which may be legally regarded as Personal Information. Below we list the types of information we collect about Interactors.

    • Account and Profile Information: When an Interactor creates an account and profile on the Knowhow Angels Platform, either as an expert (also known as an ‘angel’) or as a non-expert user, We collect your name, contact information, demographic information, and other information you provide, such as areas of knowledge in which you have expertise or are interested in. Any information that you choose to add to your public-facing profile (such as, your accomplishments demonstrating expertise in certain areas of knowledge, your photo, etc.) will be available for viewing by the public and other users of the Knowhow Angels Platform. Once you create a profile, others will be able to see in your profile certain information about your activity on the Knowhow Angels Platform, such as your blog posts, comments on the posts of other users, areas of interest to you, etc. For more information about your choices for publicly displayed information, see the section below about Your Choices.
    • In order to enable Paid Transaction We will collect financial information such as payment card or PayPal or Stripe information, and other related information to process your Paid Transactions, including deposit and withdawl of funds from or into your account with Us.
    • Your interactions on our platform: We use a variety of tracking technologies to automatically collect information about your activities on the Knowhow Angels Platform. Such tracking technologies include cookies, log files, pixel tags, local storage objects. The information collected in this way includes your searches, page views, date and time of your visit, the questions you ask and your interactions with our chatbots, your response to Paid Transactions (see our Terms of Use for a definition of this term), and your payment history. We also collect information that your computer or mobile device provides to us in connection with your use of the Knowhow Angels Platform such as your IP address, browser type, type of computer or mobile device, browser language, mobile carrier, unique device identifier, location, and requested and referring URLs, which pages on Knowhow Angels Platform you visit, and the duration of your visit.
    • Information Collected from Third Parties:
      a. The Knowhow Angels Platform is integrated with certain social media companies and may include social media features, providing functionalities for sharing and commenting on social media using features such as buttons, widgets, etc. The use of these features may result in storing information such as your IP address, the pages you are visiting on our websites, and may set cookies to enable them to carry out the functions you have requested.
      b. Additionally, other users may provide us your personal identifiers (such as your email address) or other information (such as which knowledge areas are of interest to you) in order to invite you to use the Knowhow Angels Platform. In such cases, our use of this information will be restricted to the purposes for which it was provided.

  2. How We use this information
    Under no circumstances will we sell to third parties your personal information for their own marketing purposes. We use the information We collect for the following purposes:

    • Normal operation of our services: To provide you the services we offer on the Knowhow Angels Platform (to send answers to your questions from our experts, to set up appointments with experts, to enable Paid Transactions, and other such services), to communicate with you about your use of the Knowhow Angels Platform, and customer service purposes such as responding to your inquiries, provide troubleshooting, to inform you about the status of your requests.
    • Personalization. To tailor the content and information that we may send or display to you on the Knowhow Angels Platform, to suggest content, areas of knowledge, and experts, to offer personalized help and instructions, and to otherwise customize your user experience while interacting with the Knowhow Angels Platform.
    • Advertising. To display advertisements to you on the Knowhow Angels Platform based on your interests, to improve our advertising and measurement systems so we can show you relevant ads, and to compute metrics about the effectiveness and reach of ads and services.     • Marketing and Promotions. For marketing and promoting Our services to you, such as to send you news and newsletters and to contact you about our products or information we think may interest you.
    • Analytics. To gather metrics to gain better insight into how Our users access and use the Knowhow Angels Platform as well as for quality improvement purposes pertaining to the Knowhow Angels Platform in all its aspects including our Ad Services and personalization features, and to develop new products and services.
    • Legal Purposes. To fulfill our legal obligations, to investigate, or take action regarding illegal activities, suspected fraud, situations involving potential threats to the safety of any person or violations of our Terms of Service or this Privacy Policy.

  3. How We share/disclose this information. We share information in the situations and manners listed below, and where individuals have otherwise consented:

    • We may share your information with third-party service providers who perform certain services for us and only as required for them to perform such services. These include payment processors, hosting providers, auditors, advisors, consultants, customer service and support providers, and Ad Services providers.
    • We may disclose or transfer information, including personal information, as part of any merger, sale, and transfer of our assets, acquisition or restructuring of any part of our business, bankruptcy, or similar event.
    • To fulfil any legal requirements and to comply with legal processes and otherwise to legally protect Us. We may disclose information to enforce or administer our agreements and terms, for fraud prevention, risk assessment, investigation, and protect the rights, property or safety of Our staff, Our users, or others.
    • Other users of the Knowhow Angels Platform, including those who are not registered users, will be able to view some of the information disclosed by you on your profile, such as your professional accomplishments and your areas of expertise. Furthermore, your profile information may be indexed by search engines.
    • Information shared with our advertisers. Although we will never share with our advertisers any personal information (such as your name or email address or information that can uniquely identify you), we may share aggregate information that allows advertisers to measure the efficacy of their ads on the Knowhow Angels Platform. We may also permit our advertisers to use Pixels on the Knowhow Angels Platform in order to collect information about the performance of their ads or content.
    • We and our third-party providers use certain mechanisms to automatically collect and record information about your usage and browsing activities on the Knowhow Angels Platform and across third-party sites or online services. This information may be combined with other information we collect about Our users. Below, we provide details of these mechanisms.
      a. Cookies--small files with a unique identifier that are transferred to your browser through the Knowhow Angels Platform. These are used to determine whether a user is logged in, to gain insight into how users navigate through and use the Knowhow Angels Platform, and to display personalized content and targeted ads (including on third-party sites and applications).
      b. Pixels, web beacons, clear GIFs--tiny graphics with a unique identifier used to track the online movements of users of the Knowhow Angels Platform and to personalize content.
      c. Analytics--We may use internal and third-party analytics tools, including Google Analytics. The third-party analytics companies we work with may combine the information collected with other information they have independently collected from other websites and/or other online products and services. Their collection and use of information is subject to their own privacy policies.
      d. Do-Not-Track Signals. Please note we do not change system behavior within the Knowhow Angels Platform in response to browser requests not to be tracked. You may, however, disable certain tracking by third parties as discussed in the Knowhow Angels Ads and Personalization section below. You may also opt out of tracking by Knowhow Angels Pixels, as described below in Knowhow Angels Ads and Personalization.
    • Knowhow Angels Ads and Personalization. We may display personalized content (including from third-party content publishers) and personalized ads (including sponsored content), based on information that we have collected via the Knowhow Angels Platform, and through our Pixels, widgets, and buttons embedded on third-party sites. We also may report aggregated or de-identified information about the number of users that saw a particular ad or content and related audience engagement information to users of our Ad Services and to publishers of content on the Knowhow Angels Platform. See the Your Choices section below for information about opting out of tracking by our Pixels.
      Advertisers who use our Ad Services may also provide us with information as part of their ad campaigns, including customer information (e.g., email addresses, phone numbers, or other contact information, demographic or interest data) in order to create custom audiences for personalizing their ad campaigns or for measuring the effectiveness of their ads; we only use this information to facilitate the particular advertiser’s campaign (including ad metrics and reporting to that advertiser); and we do not disclose this information to third parties (other than our service providers) unless required by law. We also do not disclose to the advertisers who use our Ad Services the names or contact information of their customers that were successfully reached as part of such campaigns without those customers’ consent.
    • Third Party Ads on the Knowhow Angels Platform. We may also work with third parties such as network advertisers to serve ads on the Knowhow Angels Platform and on third-party websites or other media (e.g., social networking platforms), such as Google AdSense and Facebook Audience Network. These third parties may use cookies, JavaScript, web beacons (including clear GIFs), Flash LSOs and other tracking technologies to measure the effectiveness of their ads and to personalize advertising content to you.
      In addition to opting out of tracking across sites by our Pixels (see Your Choices section below), you also may opt out of much interest-based advertising on third-party sites and through third-party ad networks (including Facebook Audience Network and Google AdSense). See Your Choices section below for more information about opting out of third-party ad networks.

  4. How We protect your information
    We take the security of your information very seriously. We have implemented safeguards to protect the information we collect. But it should be clearly understood taht no website or Internet transmission can be completely secure. You are urged to take measures to keep your personal information safe, such as choosing a strong password and keeping it private, as well as logging out of your user account, and closing your web browser when finished using Our Platform on a shared or unsecured device.

    • You may update or correct your account information at any time by logging in to your account. You may also make a number of other adjustments to settings or the display of information about you as described in more detail in the following section about Your Choices.

  5. Your choices
    You may, of course, decline to register or login on the Knowhow Angels Platform, in which case we may not be able to provide certain services to you, such as sending your question to an expert. (However, you may still get answers to your questions from our family of chatbots.) You may also control the types of notifications and communications we send, limit the information shared within the Knowhow Angels Platform about you. Here is some further information about some of your choices:

    • The section above entitled How We Use Your Information discloses the that the categories of personal information we collect are used to provide our services, for personalization, to provide advertising in order to generate income to operate the Knowhow Angels Platform, to promote our services to you, to analyze how our services are used, to comply with law, and to prevent misuse of Our Platform.
    • The section above entitled How We Share/Disclose Your Information discloses that we share your personal information with, service providers, affiliates, law enforcement authorities, and as needed with third parties to provide our services.
    • We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We may share your personal information with third parties and third parties may collect your personal information as described above in the How We Share Your Information section. In addition, we may also work with third parties such as network advertisers to serve ads on the Knowhow Angels Platform and on third-party websites or other media (e.g., social networking platforms), such as Google AdSense and Facebook Audience Network. These third parties may use cookies, JavaScript, web beacons (including clear GIFs), Flash LSOs and other tracking technologies to measure the effectiveness of their ads and to personalize advertising content to you.
      We do not collect personal information from consumers that we know are younger than 16 years old.
    • California consumers have the right to make the following requests, which we endeavor to honor from non-California residents as well:
      a. You have the right to request deletion of personal information that we have collected about you.
      b. You have the right to request a copy of the specific pieces of personal information that we have collected about you over the past 12 months, including the categories of information, sources, and purposes of collection, as well as categories of third parties we have shared it with.
      c. You may designate an agent to make a request on your behalf. That agent must have access to your account in order for us to verify the request.
    • You may submit deletion, copy and right to know requests by emailing us at contact@docunexus.com. You will need access to the email account associated with your Knowhow Angels account in order to verify your identity and complete this process.
    • We will not discriminate against you, including by denying or providing a different level or quality of goods or services should you choose to exercise your options under the CCPA.
    • California law permits users who are California residents to request and obtain from us once a year, free of charge, a list of the third parties to whom we have disclosed their personal information (if any) for their direct marketing purposes in the prior calendar year, as well as the types of personal information disclosed to those parties. If you are a California resident and would like to request this information, please submit your request in an email to contact@docunexus.com.

  7. Nevada privacy rights
    We do not sell consumers’ covered information for monetary consideration (as defined in Chapter 603A of the Nevada Revised Statutes). However, if you are a Nevada resident, you have the right to submit a request directing us not to sell your Personal Information. To submit such a request, please contact us at contact@docunexus.com.

  8. Updates to information
    If we change our privacy policies and procedures, we will post those changes on this page. If we make any changes to this Privacy Policy that materially change how we treat your personal information, we will endeavor to provide you with reasonable notice of such changes, such as via prominent notice in the Knowhow Angels Platform or to your email address of record, and where required by law, we will obtain your consent or give you the opportunity to opt out of such changes.
